"Live school - teach life"
This is the motto of the Arnold´s school family. Our grammar school was founded over 100 years ago and is named after the Neustadt entrepreneur and town councillor Max Oscar Arnold, who was exemplary in his efforts to establish a secondary school in his home town. Our school is a place to live, learn and experience in equal measure, where holistic learning and living take place in an open, lively and respectful atmosphere. We live our community and support the personal development of each individual.
We support all the children and young people entrusted to us individually so that they enjoy learning and feel comfortable at the AG, but we also challenge and encourage their performance and willingness to perform. We support them in their development into responsible personalities who are professionally and socially equipped for their own path, but who also contribute to the school family and the community.
The school management bears responsibility in the pedagogical area and is responsible for personnel management and the organization of daily school operations. Public relations work and the continued development of the school profile are further tasks of the headmaster's office. In addition, it coordinates purchases and necessary construction measures in close cooperation with the district of Coburg as the Arnold-Gymnasium's educational partner.

All teachers are available to parents for consultations during their weekly office hours. You can book an appointment in advance online via the school manager. If a personal meeting is not necessary, communication can also take place via e-mail. Class teachers are the first point of contact for parents for all matters that go beyond subject-specific lessons.
The ladies in the secretarys´ office are not only challenged with office work. One hand on the phone, the other sticking on a plaster - this is what a normal school day looks like. As they always have an open ear for the concerns of pupils, parents and teachers, they are among the most sought-after contacts at the AG.

Since 1996, Arnold-Gymnasium has had its own television studio under the school's roof. As part of the nectv media education project, pupils and teachers can produce and broadcast their own programs there. The young television producers are supervised by professional media coaches.
